Umówmy się na Polskę

I highly recommend and encourage everyone interested in the future of our country to read the book:

,,Umówmy się na Polskę”

It is the result of six years of work by “a team of over 130 members of the Incubator of the Social Contract (IUS) association – scientists, social activists, local government officials, and entrepreneurs representing political views ranging from the left and liberals, through the Christian Democrats, to the conservative right” (ibid., p. 22).

This is an interestingly thought-out proposal for democratic changes to the Polish Republic’s political system in the spirit of a “power-sharing agreement,” which assumes a much deeper involvement of local governments, particularly voivodeships and municipalities, in the mechanisms of governing the country.

The book is guided – I believe very strongly – by the idea that we are – in this beautiful country of ours, on the Oder, Vistula, Neisse, and Warta – different, but we want and can live in a spirit of agreement, not domination, of harmony, not Polish-Polish war.

On top of that, the book is written in accessible and clear language, supported by logical, well-thought-out argumentation, and adheres to objectivity, so it seems to distance itself from one-sided ideologies by design.

I highly recommend it.

Sincerely,
Dr Anna Fligel
