ECO-AEROZOL. Implementation of an innovative technological line for the recovery of pressurized packaging
Between February and December 2023, CSD-ECO implemented a project under the 2023 COP program, the main objective of which was to introduce the results of research and development activities into the company’s operations. The project was based on the applicant’s own R&D work, carried out in cooperation with Lodz University of Technology and Poznan University of Technology.
The implementation of the project enabled the deployment of an innovative technology for recovering raw materials from aerosol packaging, directly contributing to the increased competitiveness of CSD-ECO. The environmental aspect is also of particular importance – the project supports higher recycling rates of multi-material packaging and facilitates the reintroduction of recovered materials into the economic cycle.
As part of the project, fixed assets as well as intangible assets were acquired, enabling the implementation of processes for depressurization, emptying, and recovery of raw materials from aerosol containers. This has led to improved technological processes and the further development of operations in the field of modern waste management.
The project outcomes are addressed to a wide range of stakeholders, including companies filling pressurized containers, entities involved in industrial and municipal waste collection, individual customers, and businesses utilizing recovered materials, such as metal smelters and alternative fuel producers.
The project resulted in the introduction of new services and products to the market, increased operational efficiency, and access to new customer segments. Consequently, the company’s competitive position has been strengthened, while effectively leveraging its existing potential, knowledge, and experience in waste management.
The project aligns with the objectives of Priority Axis II “Innovative and Competitive Economy” under the Regional Operational Programme of the Lodzkie Voivodeship 2014–2020.
The installation developed as part of the project is to be built in Kutno, Poland.
