In September 2024, CSD-ECO actively supported the “STOP CHAINS, FALSE BREEDING, AND ANIMAL HOMELESSNESS” campaign by collecting signatures. The project aims to improve the fate of animals in Poland by amending the Animal Protection Act. The proposed changes include a ban on keeping dogs on chains, regulations for breeding, mandatory microchipping and neutering, and tougher penalties for animal abuse. The campaign garnered overwhelming support, leading to a bill being submitted to the Sejm on May 22, 2024, with the hope of implementing effective animal protection in Poland.
