The deteriorating condition of the natural environment compels us all to find and implement solutions that improve it or at least halt its degradation. One way to achieve this is to implement a circular economy, which allows for the rational use of resources and reduces the negative environmental impact caused by the production of products that, by definition, should last as long as possible.

The article, “The Circular Economy as a Model for Achieving Sustainable Development,” highlights three processes that require special attention: efficient material use, extending product life, and product utilization. In this regard, it analyzes helpful business models and global opportunities and experiences in the field of waste disposal.
